The County Commission is a seven-member board responsible for the oversight of County operations. The Commission appoints a county manager to manage directly, 38 diverse departments, including McCarran International Airport and University Medical Center. Clark County is the 14th-largest county in the nation.
The County Commission meets each first Tuesday of the month at 9:05 a.m. and each third Tuesday of the month at 9 a.m. in the Commission Chambers at the Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway.
The Planning Commission reviews and acts on matters related to planning and development.
The Planning Commission meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month in the Commission Chambers of the Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. 500 S. Grand Central Parkway.
The Zoning Commission supervises the zoning of areas for residential or commercial use.
The Board of County Commissioners meets each Wednesday after the first and third Tuesday as the Zoning Commission at 9 a.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. 500 S. Grand Central Parkway.
Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board
The Las Vegas Stadium Authority (LVSA) provides a pathway for the construction, development and operation of an NFL stadium in Clark County, Nevada.
The LVSA meets on the third Thursday of every other month in the Commission Chambers of the Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. 500 S. Grand Central Parkway.
Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is charged with marketing Southern Nevada as a tourism and convention destination worldwide, and also with operating the Las Vegas Convention Center and Cashman Center. With nearly 150,000 hotel rooms in Las Vegas and more than 11 million square feet of meeting and exhibit space citywide, the LVCVA's mission centers on attracting ever-increasing numbers of leisure and business visitors to the area.
Regular meetings of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) board of directors are scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m., or at the call of the chair. Most meetings are held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the board room at 3150ParadiseRoad, Las Vegas, Nevada 89109. Locations of meetings are subject to change.
Board of Equalization
In the State of Nevada, any taxpayer who disagrees with the Assessor as to the taxable value of his or her property may appeal to the County Board of Equalization. The appeal process is designed to afford any property owner with a method in which to ensure that his/her property is equitably valued by the Assessor.
